June 20-23 the TALL SHIPS® 1812 Tour will arrive in Toronto Harbour as the centrepiece of the Redpath Waterfront Festival.

Produced in partnership with the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® Great Lakes 2013 series, the TALL SHIPS® 1812 Tour is a Pan Provincial event that will travel throughout Ontario during the summer of 2013.  Sixteen ports will participate in this event commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812.  The first port was Brockville June 14-16 where thousands of visitors attended welcoming the ships to the Great Lakes.

SHIP ARRIVAL June 19
You will be able to get a good glimpse of the 210' flagship from Norway, the SS SØRLANDET outside the ABYC harbor at approximately 10:00.

DECK TOURS June 20-23
General admission to the festival is free and incudes all shore based programming.  If you are interested in touring the ships, deck tours are available aboard participating ships by purchasing a wristband - some of which will give you priority boarding.  Wristbands are available on site, or if you order before midnight June 19 and use coupon code RWFyacht to enjoy an approximate 40% discount! Details at TOwaterfrontfest.com.

PARADE OF SAIL June 23
The Parade of Sail is the Sunday afternoon finale of the Festival as the fleet of tall ships parades along Toronto's waterfront.  Following is an outline of the event:

* Starting at approximately 14:00 the vessels with leave their berths at the waterfront, exiting the Inner Harbour through the Eastern Gap under power.
* The ships will sail around the south shore of the Toronto Islands and Gibraltar Point.  The fleet will muster near the former Ontario Place site, close to the entrance to the Western Gap. Conditions permitting, the vessels will raise sail at this time.
* At approximately 16:00 the vessels will enter the Inner Harbour through the Western Gap via the Tall Ships Channel.  The vessels will form a single line, from smallest in length to the largest.  The parade is expected to take approximately 45 minutes to pass, from the first to the last vessel.
* From the Western Gap the Parade of Sail will move from west to east along the waterfront, turn south and exit the Inner Harbour through the Eastern Gap.
* The best locations for viewing the Parade of Sail are on shore along the waterfront.
* After exiting the Harbour, the Parade of Sail will move in the general direction of Ashbridge's Bay.

IMPORTANT:
Western gap will be restricted to inbound traffic only for a period of time on Sunday afternoon during the Parade of Sail.
